While we argue among ourselves, Kiyasu Oka quietly spent hours and hours to put together Web pages to promote Taiwan as our country and to seek justice for President Chen. Her articles have ranked among the most sought after in Google Search on topics related to the innocence of President Chen. I hope that President-elect [Tsai Ing-Wen] will take notice. There are no ifs, ands, and buts, only a resounding INNOCENT regarding President Chen’s character. Many DPP politicians should really take after Kiyasu Oka. You can help to spread the words by sharing her website. There have been major calls for pardon for Abian-ah. A presidential pardon is the minimum President-elect Tsai should do. A more adequate thing for her is to restore the honor of President Chen by acknowledging the judicial violations and crimes against him and hold those committing the crimes accountable.  Kiyasu is a professional illustrator. I am flattered that she would color my little sketch of Taiwan as a yam, growing and blossoming in the blue ocean. Her coloring adds life to my simple, perhaps monotone, little sketch.

Your drawings are so enchanting!

Got your package today! Everything was PERFECT! Loved the additional letter/card/drawings you included. We are currently getting it framed and should have it back within a week. Once I get it back I will send you a picture of it! Thanks again for putting soooooooo much work and effort into this. Whenever you get a chance please send over whatever the remaining cost of the invoice is. Also, go ahead and add $40 to the original amount as a tip. You put in so much extra work into this and the drawing + packaging was way beyond my original expectations.

Kiyasu Oka hails from Taiwan where she plies her trade as a “global colour magician”. She is a lovely illustrator who uses bold vibrant colour in her work. She is as confident as they come, with a never say die attitude and a real talent for expressing herself. She works in a range of media and can turn her hand to many things from hard coding to personalised envelopes. Her use of colour is what sets her apart from other illustrators as she uses it with liberty creating a kaleidoscope of very bold colours that give her work a certain urgency that cuts across the cute characters. Kiyasu is exceptionally hard working and tries incredibly hard in everything she does. We should all extend a warm welcome to her and as she develops watch out as she will make it for sure.

I have been in contact with Kiyasu for a while and so thought of her when wanting to commission some art. I am so glad I went to her as the piece was beautiful, personal and true to her unique style. Lovingly wrapped and speedily sent, the piece made an excellent gift. Kiyasu is creative, professional and simply lovely; I would recommend her many times over.

She really is majorly talented and has perfected a style very reminiscent of Hayao Miyazaki. I adore the fact that she refers to herself as a “color magician”. And believe me when I say that to get mail from this lady, in one of her customized envelopes, is an uplifting and grin-inciting experience. So go, and send her some love from me while you’re there.
